About the event

Earthing, also known as grounding, is the practice of connecting oneself to the Earth's energy by being barefoot on the ground. Our traditional Indigenous moccasins and mukluks also allow for this process, as the hide being an organic material, allows the energy to transfer through. 

Today’s modern footwear does not. 

Earthing and grounding products use conductive materials to connect the body to the Earth's natural electric charge. We are bioelectrical Beings and the Earth has a negative electric charge, which can help to balance the positive charge in our bodies that is caused by exposure to electromagnetic radiation from electronic devices and other sources.

Proponents of earthing claim that it can improve sleep, reduce inflammation, alleviate pain, and improve overall health by allowing the body to absorb negative ions from the Earth's surface.
